Customer: A foodservice supplier.
Market: Takeaway and delivery foodservice.
Product: Sauce cups in 3 oz, 4 oz, 5.5 oz, and 8 oz
The customer needed sauce cups in four sizes — 3 oz, 4 oz, 5.5 oz, and 8 oz. Each size required its own matching lid because the lids are not interchangeable. However, ordering four sizes at the same time was confusing. Each size had a different lid code and different pack quantities. The customer often got mixed up when placing orders.
To solve this, we confirmed the cup size, the matching lid code, and the packing quantity for each SKU before production. We then organized all the information into a clear reference table for the customer.
Customer: A restaurant chain
Market: Daily takeout and delivery.
Product: 3 oz PP cups for hot sauces, 5 oz PET cups for cold dressings, each with matching lids.
This customer needed sauce cups in three sizes — 3 oz for chili oil and sesame paste, and 5 oz for salad dressings. They wanted each size to have a perfectly matching lid, and the hot sauce cups had to withstand high filling temperatures without leaking or deforming.
We confirmed the dimensions for each size, matched each with the right lid, and used heat-resistant PP for the 3 oz hot sauce cups and clear PET for the 5 oz cold dressing cups to enhance visual appeal. We saved all specs in our system as a reference for future orders. Now when they reorder, we just pull up their file and produce the exact same cups and lids.
Customer: A food brand selling sauces and dressings.
Market: Retail and foodservice.
Product: Custom-printed paper sauce cups
The customer wanted their logo printed on paper sauce cups to match their food packaging. We used our 8-color flexographic printing press. This press can print clear and bright colors. It keeps the logo sharp and the brand color accurate on every cup.
The printing is on the outside of the cup, and the inside has a PE lining to prevent oil and liquid from leaking. Before mass production, we made a sample for the customer to check and approve. In the end, the customer received branded paper sauce cups that looked good and worked well for daily use.

The best eco-friendly option depends on your sauce type and disposal system — choose PLA cups if you need compostability for cold sauces, choose PP cups if you need recyclability for both hot and cold sauces, or choose paper cups with PLA lining if you want a compostable paper-based option for single-serve portions, and always check with your supplier for test reports and certificates to confirm the environmental claims.
Choosing the right size depends on your sauce type and portion size. For small portions like ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, or hot sauce, go with 1 oz to 1.5 oz cups. For regular dipping sauces like salsa, ranch, barbecue sauce, or chili oil, 2 oz to 3 oz cups are the most popular choice. For larger portions like salad dressings or thick sauces, choose 4 oz to 5.5 oz cups, and for sharing portions or soup-based sauces, 8 oz cups work best. Also consider sauce thickness and whether you need a matching lid. If you are unsure, start with 2 oz and 3 oz — they work for most dipping sauce needs.
Plastic cups are transparent, so customers can see the sauce inside. They are durable, won’t get soft, and seal well with lids for leak-proof takeaway. PP cups work for hot sauces, while PET and PLA are for cold sauces. Paper cups have a natural look and feel more eco-friendly. They print well for branding but cannot hold hot or runny sauces for long. Choose plastic for visibility, hot sauces, or takeaway. Choose paper for a natural look, branding, or eco-friendly cold sauce portions. Always ask your supplier for food-grade certification.
